Traveling tips-liquids in your carry-on

I have a confession to make…..

I hate traveling with liquids. I hate it. I hate having to put them into a special bag, and in the US, having to pull them out of my strategically packed bag. I hate having to find tiny bottles to refill that always leak or spending way too much money on products in tiny bottles that I only use part of and will never use again. I HATE it.  I try to avoid using liquids as much as possible.

The good news is there are so many options where you no longer have to bring those blasted little bottles in that tiny little clear bag. I have started making those swaps, and I also use them in my daily life. It makes my life so much easier, and I don’t have to worry about if all my bottles will fit into the bag. Now with all my swaps, I only have 3 or 4 bottles in my liquids bag.

I will give you 8 liquid-free options. I have purchased all of the following items and use them personally. Some of them I use daily, while others I use when I travel.

1) Toothpaste tabs. Several different brands create these. However, where I live. Lush is the only one I have access to.

2) Deodorant. I use something called crystal. It prevents you from smelling, but it does not stop you from sweating. You get the end of it wet and then use it like you would with normal deodorant.

3) Mouthwash: I found these mouthwash tablets by Humankind. You drop a tablet in a small amount of water it dissolves into the mouthwash.

4) Shampoo: I use bar shampoo. Again lush was the only brand near me, but I have found a new site that sells bar shampoo now. I will have to check them out. It does take a while to find ones that work for your hair needs. I have oily hair, so I needed something to remove the oil without removing too much oil.
