Adventures in Hong Kong

Since I am living in Hong Kong, I thought I would try to live my best life. I went to the highly sought after R and R bagels for brunch. And let me just tell you…. the bagels were exquisite! Some of the best bagels I have ever had. My friend and I got there by way of the Star Ferry. Have you ever truly been to Hong Kong if you have never been on the Star Ferry??? Well… some might say you haven’t. It may or may not have been my first time riding it. It was beautiful, and a it took like 5 minutes to cross from Kowloon to Central. It only cost about $5 HKD to ride it might have been more, I wasn’t completely paying attention to how much was deducted from my octopus card. We then did some shopping in the IFC mall as most of the clothes that I packed were meant to be worn in the Arctic Circle. I needed some warm weather clothes as it’s a nice and sunny 23 C at the moment. For those not fluent in Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion that is about 73 F. My wool sweater is a bit too warm to wear in this climate. We picked up a few more things that were convenience like an HDMI cord, USB-C adaptor, and some books to read.

It takes about an hour one direction from where we are staying in Lau Fau Shan to get into the main part of Hong Kong. Next week we are moving into Kowloon. We will be in the Mong Kok area. It will be easier to get to our Health Certificates when they finally get mailed to the Hotel we quarantined at. My friend and I quarantined at the same place, and we need the Health Certificate for when we try to cross back into Mainland China. We are preparing to stay here for the entire summer. Hopefully we wont have too but we are ready for it.
