Living in Hong Kong for who knows how long

Hi All, it’s your friendly neighborhood blogger. I have been living in Hong Kong since March 24th, and boy has it been fun!! Most of our experiences have revolved around food which is sometimes difficult as I am a vegetarian borderline vegan. I am addicted to cheese you see…. Anyway, we have has so much yummy food.

Lets start off with the Fujian food… Fujian is a province in Mainland China that is famous for their seafood. I had some delicious fried rice, some rice noodles, and I believe the veggies were beansprouts. We finished with a peanut dish that is a popular desert it was in a semi liquid… it was also delicious although we were warned most foreigners do not like the food. It’s been a while since we ate there so I am not 100% certain on the food. For the three of us to eat there it was about 100HKD per person including drinks. It is located on the second floor of the YOHO Mall tower 2 across from Outback Stake House. You can get there by metro get off at the Yuen Long Metro exit F.

That same mall also had a lovely little brunch location that had amazing pasta and had a small vegetarian menu. It was more price if I remember right. That I believe is technically in tower 1 of the YOHO mall. But if you enter in through exit F and follow the hall until you go down an escalator its the restaurant at the bottom on the right.

We have also been looking for the best Pizza in HK. Pisano’s is a great fast food style pizza and the slices are massive depending on the size that you get. We recently at at a place that had bottomless pizza and for an extra 100HKD more bottomless drinks. This place is called 208 Duecento Otto. I believe there is a restaurant upstairs too. It is located in Sheung Wan and is about a 7 minute walk from the metro. They call their bottomless pizza and drinks: Pizza Happy Hour, and it’s served during the week ending on Thursday. It is a little price at 298 HKD per person plus the 100HKD free flow on certain drinks. As a reminder they add the service charge in at the end of your bill so it will probably be higher. It was worth it though.

Next up is CommonGreen. This is more than just a restaurant. They sell plant based snacks, drinks, frozen dinners, frozen fo meat, and other spices and things of that nature. Their food it great all plant-based. We go there probably once a week. The food and snacks are amazing!!

Bombay Dream has such dream inducing food! Their garlic naan is the best! I go there often and they know me because I always order garlic naan. Hahaha. So good, and the Chef is so sweet to me. Everything I have eaten there is amazing!! I will miss it when I get back to Nansha.

This isn’t food related but I have been working out of a place called the HIVE. It is a collaboration space. It’s a little expensive about 400USD for 12 days there. Wifi is great, they have phone booths to make private calls, and they have coffee machines that I take full advantage of.

Agora is my next food place. They have a great falafel wrap, and my friend really liked their chicken shawarma salad. It is next to the Hive, and it have a very small sitting area.
