Oh, the number of changes that have happened in the past (almost) ten months!!! I received my PU letter and completed the visa process. After I received my visa, I was able to get a ticket back to Mainland China on November 6th. Thus ensued calling all over looking for a lab that would allow me to take the PCR test. About a week before I was supposed to leave, the Chinese Government announced that all travelers into China needed the PCR test and the IgM antibody blood test. Nowhere near me did this, so I ended up flying to Los Angeles to get the testing completed. I tested negative and flew out on the 6th after I received an approved Health Declaration form.
The flight was long, and they gave you a bag of goodies to eat while on the flight. I was happy I brought extra food, aa that would not be enough for the full flight. They took us off in sections and gave us a paper with a number on it to be called to get tested again. Then customs, baggage collection, and finally the long line to our quarantine hotel. I luckily ended up in the district of Guangzhou that I live in. We do not get to choose our quarantine location, so I was fortunate. So now I am in quarantine for the third time. Hello, solitude, my old friend.
